About Time Review
In order to ensure data accuracy during the invoice or generation process, time entries must be reviewed and approved by at least one user and possibly more depending on the configuration settings. This article will give you an overview of how the time review feature works in Landboss.
Any entries that are not approved by all reviewers or rejected by any reviewer will be ignored during the invoice and paystub generation process, so it is critical that all responsible time reviewers complete their review before continuing with the invoice or paystub generation process.
It is possible for the reviewer of a given time entry to be the same user that made the entry, which is ideal for independents and small organizations. For larger organizations, multiple reviewers can be configured.
Configuration Overview
A user can be configured to be the time reviewer of any number of users, including themselves, in which case that reviewer is responsible for reviewing all the time entries made by those users, regardless of prospect. Alternatively, or in addition to, a user can be configured to be the time reviewer for any time entries made for a prospect, or multiple prospects.
The reviewer will need to be granted access to any prospect that they are responsible for reviewing time for. See Prospect Access for more info.
For reviewers that are responsible for reviewing every time entry in the system before it is invoiced or paid, they can be granted the All Time Review permission so that they do not have to be manually configured.

Reviewing Time Entries
Users that have been configured as time reviewers will have a new menu option appear in the sidebar of the Timesheets area which will take them to the Time Review screen.

Rejected Entries
When a user's time entry is rejected, they will receive an in-system notification and, if they have not unsubscribed from email notifications, they will also receive an email.
Notifications may be delayed slightly as they are only sent every hour or so.
Users can use the Review Status option under the Additional Filters section on the Search Timesheets screen to easily find timesheets with rejected entries so that they can correct them.
Once a user has corrected a rejected entry it's status will be changed to "Updated" on the Review Time Entries screen.
Time Entry Locking
Once an entry has been approved by all reviewers it will be locked and un-editable by any user that does not have the Timesheet Management permission. This permission allows an organization to prevent their contractors from editing approved time before it is invoiced or paid but still allow admin staff to make adjustments prior to those processes.
If an entry has been invoiced or paid, it will no longer be editable by any user. Correspondingly, if a mistake is found after an invoice or paystub has been generated for a time entry then any invoice or paystub that entry appears on must be deleted before it can be edited.
